SECURITY GUARD CHARGED IN ALLEGED ASSAULT
Denver District Attorney Beth McCann has formally charged an RTD-contracted security guard in connection with the assault of another man in a restroom at Union Station.
James Hunter (dob: 01-17-1984) is charged with one count of assault in the first degree (F3) and one count of intimidating a witness or victim (F4). Charges were filed Friday.
The charges allege that on April 20, 2018, following a verbal confrontation Hunter assaulted an adult male victim in a restroom at Union Station. At the time of the incident, Hunter was employed as a security guard by Allied Universal under contract to RTD. The alleged assault was reported by the victim to Denver Police on May 17, who then initiated an investigation.
