Dydrick Martin, Convicted Murderer, Sentenced to Life in Prison
DENVER — Denver District Attorney Beth McCann today announced that Judge Eric Johnson has sentenced Dydrick Martin to life in prison without the possibility of parole. On October 11, a jury convicted Martin of first-degree murder.
On December 25, 2022, Martin shot and killed 25 year-old Torrese Gill, Jr. in the 4800-block of North Crown Boulevard in northeast Denver.
“I want to thank the jurors for their service during the trial. Judge Johnson’s sentence will ensure that Dydrick Martin is being held accountable for his actions and will never be free to commit other crimes. I also want to thank the prosecutors, investigators and victim advocates in my office, as well as the detectives with the Denver Police department, for their work on this case,” said DA McCann.
