Denver DA McCann Statement on the Death of Sandra Day O’Connor

DENVER –This morning, Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman to serve on the United States Supreme Court, and one of the most influential defenders of the law, died today.

The following statement is to be attributed to Denver District Attorney Beth McCann. “ I am certain that Justice O’Connor’s strength and commitment to the rule of law, influenced many young women to enter law as a career path.  She set the standard on how to be both a gracious and forceful leader and was one of the strongest advocates for women’s rights. She will be sorely missed.”
