DISTRICT ATTORNEY MCCANN ISSUES OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING LETTER

Investigation and Decision Re April 2018 Shooting of Charles Boeh

The legal review of the officer-involved shooting that occurred on April 25, 2018, at the intersection of E. Colfax Avenue and Quebec Street has been completed. A copy of the decision letter from Denver District Attorney Beth McCann to Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen is attached. The letter and the investigation protocol are posted at DenverDA.org (NewsMedia).

District Attorney McCann concludes that the shooting was legally justified for the reasons outlined in the letter.

District Attorney McCann will host a community meeting to discuss the legal analysis and conclusion reached. The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Meeting Room, 1^st floor, at the Carla Madison Recreation Center, 2401 E. Colfax Avenue.
