DA McCann Charges Madeline Cramer with Committing a Hate Crime at Denver’s Cathedral
DENVER—On October 10, 2021, the Cathedral Basilica of Immaculate Conception building and surrounding statues were spray painted with numerous specific messages consistent with anti-Christian bias. An arrest warrant was issued for Madeline Cramer (age 26). Cramer initially fled to Oregon, however, turned herself in to law enforcement last night. Prosecutors with the Denver DA’s Office have charged Cramer with one count of criminal mischief (F5) and with one count of having committed a bias-motivated crime (M1).
Cramer is alleged to be have caused approximately $10,000 in damage to the Cathedral by spray painting the following:
- An upside down cross
- “Child rapists faggots”
- “Suck my dick”
- “Small dick” and “Satan” “Love wins” on a statute
- A possible Swastika on the door
- “White supremacists”
- “KKK”
- Illuminati and an eye symbol
- “Jesus was here”
- “Let my children free”
- “Satan Lives Here”.
Cramer was First Advised this morning and will next appear in courtroom 4H on February 14, 2022. This is Denver District Court case number 21CR6633.
