THREE MEN CHARGED IN APRIL SHOOTING DEATH

2nd Victim Wounded

Denver District Attorney Beth McCann has formally charged three men in connection with the April shooting death of another man in the Five Points neighborhood.

Vincent Harper (dob: 03-08-1989), Joshua Cunningham (dob: 06-08-1998), and Clemente Roberts (dob: 06-23-1999) are each charged with one count of murder in the first degree-after deliberation (F1), one count of murder in the first degree-extreme indifference (F1), two counts of attempted murder in the first degree-extreme indifference (F2), and one count of second degree assault-deadly weapon (F4).  The charges were direct-filed in Denver District Court on        September 26, 2018.

The charges allege that the defendants are responsible for the shooting death of 26-year-old Jekylis Ross-Henderson and the wounding of another man in the 800 block of E. 20th Avenue on April 30, 2018.  An arrest warrant was issued September 19 and Harper was arrested the same day by Denver police.  Cunningham and Roberts were already in custody in the Arapahoe County jail on unrelated charges when arrest warrants were issued for them on September 20.

No further details are available at this time as the arrest affidavits for all three are sealed.

Cunningham and Roberts are scheduled to appear on October 12 at 8:30 a.m. in courtroom 4G for advisement. Harper’s advisement hearing was last Friday.  His next court appearance is October 5 at 8:30 a.m. in courtroom 5H for a status hearing.
